Terms & Conditions of Sale

Delivery
Standard delivery takes up to 14 working days for your order to be delivered. Express delivery is available on select products and deliveries usually take 3-5 working days to be delivered. Please note that if your order contains both Express and Standard delivery only items, then we will despatch the Standard items separately and the Standard delivery items could take up to 7 working days to arrive. We cannot specify an exact time of day for your delivery and cannot be held responsible for third party delays in transit. Some of our items are despatched directly from the manufacturers so if you order two or more items, each item may be delivered separately. We will advise you of the despatch time and method once your order is on its way to you. Please make sure you are available to take delivery of your order as redeliveries may incur extra charge. Most Standard delivery orders are sent by 1st Class post although a few heavy or bulky items are sent by courier. We reserve the right to send your order out by the best service possible.

Express delivery orders placed before midday Monday – Thursday will be despatched that day for next working day delivery. If you place your order after midday Monday – Thursday then your order will be delivered two working days later. Express orders placed before midday Friday will be delivered on the following Monday except for Public Holidays. Express orders placed after midday Fridays or on a Saturday, Sunday will be despatched on the following Monday for delivery Tuesday. A signature will always be required for Express delivery items so you may wish to specify an alternative delivery address or workplace.

Most Standard delivery orders are sent by 1st Class post although a few heavy or bulky items are sent by courier. We reserve the right to send your order out by the best service possible. We normally describe the delivery method used for an item on the product information page. If you are unavailable to accept delivery of your order then a card will be left for you by your local Royal Mail sorting office or courier depot and you will need to collect your order or call and rearrange your delivery. Please collect your item or call promptly to rearrange delivery as items will only be held for a short time before being returned to us and you may incur a second postage charge if we need to resend your order.

Personalised items
Personalised items usually take longer to produce and despatch. These items are mainly despatched directly from our suppliers to speed delivery. We agree to use reasonable skill and care when personalising items. In the case of some ceramic and engraved items, the positioning of personal messages and details will be at the discretion of the producer. We cannot accept liability for incorrectly personalised items if your instructions were not reasonably clear. If you ask us to alter your personalisation after the order has been received we will make every effort to do so but this cannot be guaranteed as it depends how far the order has progressed. Sometimes this may result in an increased cost which we will advise you of before going ahead with any changes in the personalisation.

Overseas Orders
We can ship a few of our items overseas but you should contact us first for an accurate shipping quote and delivery time guidance as charges and delivery times vary according to destination. All prices on our website are in GB Pounds sterling and any orders made for overseas delivery will be charged in GB Pounds sterling.

Returns Information
We hope you are completely satisfied with your purchase from us.

• Goods made to the customer’s specification such as personalised goods which cannot be returned unless a mistake has been made by us.

If you wish to return your item please contact us by email first and we will advise you of the address to return the item to.

A full refund to the credit/debit card used to make the purchase will be processed once we have checked the return and refunds may take up to 5 working days to clear from the point of processing.

When returning goods to us we recommend obtaining proof of posting from the Post Office. We cannot be held responsible for returned items that go missing in the post. Please note the cost of returning the goods to us will need to be covered by you unless the items are faulty.

If in the unlikely event that you have received a damaged or defective item please contact us and we will provide instructions for returning the product and arrange a full refund or exchange.

3D Crystal Engraving Process

5D-Foto.com uses the most advanced 3D graphic software and Sub surface lasering technologies and processes to ultimately create your special 3D Photo Crystal gift. This process requires very specialized software, skilled crafts people located all over the world, internet communications, and high quality laser engraving equipment.

The 4 Basic steps to a 3D Photo Crystal Cube Creation:

1. When we get your 2D photo, we make sure that it is of a high enough quality and size to make the type of crystal you want. We use a variety of photo editing and enhancement programs to get your photo looking as good as it possibly can.

2. We then turn the photo over to our skilled 3D graphic designers, who use proprietary software and methods to extract and build a 3D image out of the 2D photograph. The quality of the 3D image is influenced by both the quality of your photograph and the orientation of the subjects in the photo. The best results Sample2- Family2

are gained from full-face views, looking straight ahead…with eyes open!

3. Next, we then convert the 3D file into a special point cloud file, which puts millions of points in a 3D space orientation to produce what we call a "point cloud".

4. Lastly, we then use the point cloud file for the 3D laser. 3D laser engraving is a specialized process that enables us to form 3 dimensional images inside of glass. It sample3- family3

is generally called SSLE (subsurface laser engraving). If you are interested in the detailed technology, I suggest you visit Wikipedia.org or other searches on this technology. Briefly, the laser burns through the wall of the glass block following the 3 Dimension “point cloud” image we produced earlier, and at a specific point changes the molecule structure of the glass by creating a micro-crack inside the solid glass cube. The 3D image is built up from by the accumulation of millions of these tiny cracks in the glass, so that when finished you see an image embedded inside the glass.

The final product is a Personalized Gift that will capture your life's greatest moments for many many years to come.

The image is permanent, and it can never be destroyed, that is, unless you drop the glass cube on the floor and just like any glass product, it will shatter into pieces!
